HP spotlights substance and style at GITEX 2005

As the largest IT company in the region, HP's message at GITEX is that technological innovation is creating business growth opportunities and a dynamic digital lifestyle for us all.

Putting the customer experience at the heart of its 2005 campaign, HP announces its new-look stand in Hall 3 and the launch of its first dedicated Enterprise & Public Sector Solutions Event in the Ajman Meeting Rooms, located prominently above the main exhibition halls.

Once visitors pass the HP branded registration desks and enter GITEX, they will experience how HP is bringing to life the multiple business advantages offered by its Enterprise, SMB and ProCurve business groups. HP's Consumer group is revealing the latest products and solutions for the digitally converged world in which we live.

"HP prides itself on being a global IT leader with the broadest portfolio of products and solutions on the market and the largest, strongest regional presence," said Joseph Hanania, Managing Director of HP Middle East. "At major showcase events like GITEX, market leadership translates into finding more engaging ways to show customers how HP technology can improve our professional and personal lives.

"This region is now recognised as the third-fastest growing IT market in the world. At GITEX 2005, HP is demonstrating that now, more than ever, it has the best people, products and strategies to consolidate our market leadership and achieve greater success," he concludes.

In addition to regional spokespeople being on hand to provide strategic insight into the current trends and growth zones for each business group, senior executives from HP's European level management team will be attending the 25th anniversary of the event. Present is Michael Hoffman, Senior VP and General Manager for IPG, HP EMEA who is making his first visit to an ISE country since his appointment.

Enterprise


The market-leading Industry Standard Server Group will host impressive demonstrations and will showcase a myriad of technologies with application environments hosted on ProLiant Servers based on Intel XEON and AMD Opteron processor Technologies. Best-in-class management technologies and tools based on HP Systems Insight Manager will demonstrate how customers can reduce cost of ownership. HP will also profile printing manageability solutions including invoice printing, e-forms and workflow document management.

HP Integrity servers will demonstrate how HP delivers business-critical, enterprise solutions to enterprises, with customer examples from industries such as financial services, manufacturing, telecommunications, and government. The HP StorageWorks Division Product Marketing Team will be on hand to explain how HP StorageWorks grid technology aids consolidation and reduces complexity by maintaining information availability while anticipating extreme growth.

To complete the portfolio on the main HP stand will be the HP OpenView suite of management software with technical consultants available to run through the contribution these solutions make to an organisation on its way to becoming an Adaptive Enterprise.

A common thread will be the strategic alliances with best in breed technology partners. HP's Enterprise team has taken an extra step to enable valuable 1:1 meetings with key customers. The team has created a unique environment in specially reserved meeting rooms at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Network Service Providers, Manufacturing and Distribution leaders, Financial Services Industry players and Public Sector organisations can expect tailored presentations and meetings with senior HP executives and specialists. This Enterprise Solutions area is aimed to enhance and build upon HP Enterprise's stand presence in the main hall.

SMB


Following a series of HP SMB events this year focusing on business protection, security and mobility, HP is taking its message direct to customers via its free advice service at the stand. Anyone interested in maximising their company's productivity and return on IT investment is invited to witness how HP's tailor made SMB products and solutions can maximize growth - and protect against risk - in this fast-growing and dynamic sector.

Mobility solutions provide a complete set of products and services that offer smarter, simpler and safer ways to stay connected. Wireless solutions allow businesses to project a professional image through wireless capable digital projectors or achieve high quality printing anytime, anywhere via the mobile printing series. Non-stop connectivity, integrated mobility, voice and data convergence enables SMBs to respond faster to the changing business landscape. HP solutions offer built-in security and dependability to minimize technical and financial risks to the business.

HP has developed an end-to-end capability beginning with HP ProtectTools, a family of security products and features built-in, to provide safer ways to stay in control and secure data.

The growing demand for producing cost effective, colourful and impactful marketing materials among SMB's is also being met by HP's range of in-house personalised marketing printing solutions on display. HP will also stage a 'world-first' unveiling of its new Multi-Function Printer.

For mobile professionals and on-the-go individuals, HP will be showcasing its latest iPAQ hw6500, which promises optimized performance and enhanced functionality. There will also be the largest-ever range of notebooks from both the commercial and consumer range with the lowest ever pricing from HP.

ProCurve


ProCurve Networking will be displaying HP's fully secure Mobility solution and the Voice-Over-IP solution at GITEX 2005. In addition, there will be demonstrations of the HP ProCurve Network Manager Plus, the network management solution, which provides basic and advanced management features for HP devices and the network, as well as Identity Driven Management (IDM) which provides a simple way of controlling authentication, place, time and bandwidth access via profile per user.

Consumer


GITEX 2005 will see HP bringing to life the next chapter in the digital convergence story, which has caught the imagination of consumers across much of the Middle East. The next generation of easy-to-use, affordable and exciting product developments in digital cameras, photo printing and mono and colour printing for the home office and home will be displayed with an emphasis on customer interactivity and having a memorable experience to 'smile' about. After its successful "Ahlan" activity last year, HP will once again be attracting visitors onto its stand with another 'exciting activity' for 2005.
HP is also collaborating with its key partners to offer visitors with the most competitive offers at GITEX Shopper, which will be bigger and bolder than ever before. HP will also be unveiling a special campaign, a first-of-its kind initiative held in conjunction with Dubai Police.
