Citibank alerting service offers UAE customers world-class features
- United Arab Emirates: Tuesday, June 18 - 2002 at 09:57
- PRESS RELEASE
As part of its ongoing commitment to redefine customer service standards in the UAE, Citibank, a member of Citigroup, has unveiled its latest breakthrough in touch-of-a-button banking.
Citibank UAE's latest product innovation is a further boost to the bank's online banking service, which has attracted 17,000 customers since launching last year.
Customers simply log on to Citibank UAE's website at www.citibank.co.ae to request the Citibank Alerting Service and then customise it to suit their banking needs.
A host of user-friendly features are available, such as notification of salary credits, account balances, cheque deposits and withdrawals, as well as credit card statements. A message detailing the latest offers and promotions available to Citibank UAE customers is also provided.
Shehzad Naqvi, Regional Head of Citibank, Middle East, said: "Citibank UAE is renowned for flexible, innovative and secure banking. Citibank Alerting Service offers UAE customers world-class features and levels of convenience unrivalled in this market."
Naqvi continued: "As Citibank grows in the UAE and the Middle East, we will continue to deliver innovative products and services that work around people's busy working and social lives, while providing the control and peace of mind that their banking needs demand."
The Citibank Alerting Service is free for the first three months and a flat fee of just Dhs5 applies every month thereafter, irrespective of the number or detail of the alerts required.
Customers can choose to receive notification daily, weekly, monthly, or whenever their account status alters, by mobile SMS message, email, or both.
The service can be cancelled or temporarily discontinued by one quick visit to the Alerting Service page of Citibank UAE's website.
Sankar Krishnan, Citibank's Regional e-Business Head, Middle East, said: "The beauty of Citibank Alerting Service is that it puts the customer in the driving seat. While the customer may access the information required through established channels such as the CitiPhone telephone banking hotline, Citibank Alerting Service offers a one-time set up facility and updates customers with information automatically.
"What's more, if your mobile phone has a roaming service you can receive alerts anywhere in the world. Thanks to Citibank Alerting Service you are always in touch!"
