GEMS expands school network to Ajman

Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with GEMS (Global Education Management Systems), the leading education provider in the region, to establish a premium American private school in the Emirate of Ajman that will start operations in September 2006.

"We are extremely grateful to the vision and leadership of His Highness Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Ruler of Ajman, who is committed to developing educational standards in the Emirate of Ajman. Our agreement with GEMS to establish an American private school comes in line with this vision", Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman.

The proposed school will be a premium International private school in the Emirate that will offer the American Curriculum.

"We are thankful to His Highness Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi for his support on this prestigious initiative that will help us maintain our aim of providing world-class education in Ajman and the UAE", Hugh MacPherson, Chief Operating Officer, GEMS.

The school will initially operate from Kindergarten to Grade 6 and eventually up to Grade 12. Keeping the GEMS tradition, the school staff will be highly qualified and experienced. In addition, it will have the benefits of a global network that offers ongoing educational expertise.

"Our 47 years of success proven experience in the region will enable us to establish a state-of-the-art American school in Ajman. We look forward to being part of the overall development in the emirate", concluded MacPherson.
