UK's NICEIC to hold seminar on electrical safety certification

UK's leading electrical safety certification body, National Insection Council for Electical Installation Contracting (NICEIC) will be conducting a seminar to introduce its certifaction and training programmes in the Middle East.
Organized by Ethos Consultancy, NICEIC will be holding the free seminar on the 12th of September 2005 at Crowne Plaza between 10:00 to 13:00. Aimed at creating awareness about the role of NICEIC within the construction industry, the seminar will delve into the details of the importance of electircal certification and standrads for safety.
NICEIC was founded nearly 50 years ago in the UK and is responsible for ensuring that nearly 12,000 electrical contractors meet UK government requirements in the installation of electrics in the home and the workplace. With huge real estate developments across the region, NICEIC will provide tested certification courses that will set standards for electrical work within property developments in the Middle East.
The main presenters at the event will be Phil Buckle, Director of NICEIC and Rob Allen, Director of NQA - a sister concern of NICEIC dealing in management and service quality cerificaiton.
Speaking on the upcoming seminar, Robert Keay, Director of Ethos Consultancy remarked, "NICEIC is an established electrical certification body within UK's booming construction industry. In recent years, UAE has seen a similar meteoric rise in construction activity, primarily due to the development of freehold properties. Definitely, with unabated development, there is a distinct requirement for comprehensive safety standards and NICEIC will be a valuable asset in sustaining growth and maintaing safety within the Middle Easter property markets."
The key points of this seminar will be Benefits of Electrical Contractor Assessment, Assessment of Electricians, Electrical Training Programmes, Electrical Safety in the workplace and Electrical Safety in home environments. Additionally, Rob Allen of NQA will be in attendance to provide an overview of the services the group provides, particularly relating to their Global Certification Programmes covering Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety and Security.
The main bodies of UAE attending this event will be the Dubai Municipality. FEWA and electrical contracting companies.
