Emirates Neon working overtime to meet demand for bus wraps

  • PRESS RELEASE

Emirates Neon, the UAE's signage and outdoor advertising market pace setter, is working overtime to meet the demand for its latest mobile media product - full and partial bus wraps.

Launched in April, after the company was awarded the bus advertising contract by Dubai Municipality, wraps are proving to be one of the most popular mediums in the emirate's developing outdoor advertising market.

"We have a full order book, justifying our belief that this innovative concept will capture a significant market share," said Rehan Merchant, Executive Director, Emirates Neon.

Among companies and organisations placing orders for full wraps - a form of advertising in which whole vehicles are branded with a client's message - are Dubai Summer Surprises, Giordano, ME Bank, Seiko, Sony and Panasonic. In addition, the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority has contracted Emirates Neon to wrap 25 of its vehicles for Dubai Summer Surprises.

"We are not really surprised by the interest bus wraps have generated. In other markets independent research has proved that Transit Media is very cost-effective advertising," said Merchant.

Not only full bus wraps but also partial bus wraps have also been heavily booked by clients that include HSBC Bank, AC Delco and ME Bank.

"In Dubai 2,930 bus trips are made daily, with over 140,000 passengers carried each day. And there are more than 500,000 vehicles on Dubai's roads. What better way is there to get noticed than with an eye catching, moving billboard that reaches all parts of the city, not just once, but regularly throughout the day and is seen by everyone, pedestrians, passengers and motorists?"
