The impressive lineup includes the Stylus Photo R1800 that delivers border-free printing up to an A3 format; the Stylus Photo R800 that sets a new benchmark for A4 photo printers; the Stylus Photo R2400, an affordable and advanced inkjet printer that produces long lasting, high-quality images for photography, fine art and proofing and the Epson Stylus Photo 1290S, which offers new advancements in the world of larger format digital photo production.
The Stylus Photo R800 has set a new benchmark for A4 photo printers, with its UltraChrome Hi-Gloss pigment ink technology that delivers groundbreaking quality, durability and flexibility in printing for the photographic world. Maximising Epson's technological advancements, the Stylus Photo R800 enables the smallest details to be captured with its 1.5pl ink droplet - the smallest ink droplet in the world. This, combined with Epson's Variable Sized Droplet Technology and a new MicroPiezo print head, provides outstanding photographic reproduction at fast speeds to satisfy the most demanding photographer.
The Stylus Photo R1800 printer delivers border-free printing up to A3 format, enabling photo enthusiasts and semi-professional photographers to print images large enough for photographic exhibitions. Its high definition images are achieved through Epson's UltraChrome™ Hi-Gloss pigment ink, which is delivered in 1.5 picolitre (pl) droplets to capture the finest details. It includes Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Blue, Red, Photo Black, Matte Black and Gloss Optimizer Technology.
The Stylus Photo R2400 is an affordable and advanced inkjet printer that produces long lasting, high-quality images for photography, fine art and proofing. Featuring Epson's new state of the art UltraChrome K3 ink technology, the Stylus Photo R2400 allows both
amateur and professional photographers to confidently produce photographs in black and white as well as colour, up to A3+. The Epson UltraChrome K3 ink helps the printer produce excellent greyscale performance and smoother tonal gradation for black and white printing. For colour printing, the wide colour gamut ensures that even the most vibrant saturated reds, greens and blues can be printed.
The Epson Stylus Photo 1290S delivers superb A3+ photo printing, and is ideal for larger format digital photo production. Its key features are beautiful colour vibrancy with expanded 6-colour ink set, a perfect alternative to silver halide printing with up to 25 years print life, flexible photo formats from 100 x 150mm to A3+, special panoramic photo formats with roll paper holder and faithful prints from digital cameras with Epson P.I.M. technology.
Epson will also showcase the Stylus Photo R220, which is designed to meet the needs of those who want to obtain premium quality photos up to A4 size, from the comfort of their own home. Using six separate ink cartridges, it is a cost effective photo printing solution. Additional features include a direct CD and DVD printing function and easy-to use photo software. Print speeds are fast too - a standard 4x6 photo will be ready in less than one minute.
The Epson Stylus Photo R320 builds on the success of the Epson Stylus Photo R300, one of Epson's most popular photo printers, with the value addition of a colour LCD preview screen, which displays photos from memory cards. This allows the user to choose, crop and print their photos. This standalone functionality makes printing 6x4in, 7x5in and A4 photos easy without the need for a computer. The Stylus Photo R320 supports Pictbridge technology and USB DIRECT-PRINT, making the printer compatible with a wide range of digital cameras available on the market.
'Our new range of inkjet printers is changing the face of photo printing,' said Khalil El-Dalu, General Manager, Epson Middle East. 'Professional and amateur photographers can produce print quality previously only achieved by high cost professional printers. The introduction of UltraChrome K3 ink technology to the photo inkjet market sets a standard that other manufacturers will aspire to match. Gitex presents us with an ideal platform to introduce this new versatile range to the Middle East market.'
