Al Falak will showcase its projects relating to the Al Falak System Solutions and Consulting (FSSC) Division during GITEX Dubai 2005, the largest IT trade show in the Middle East, along with NETASQ and other partners. At the Al Falak stand at GITEX, FSSC Division General Manager Basel Humaidah will be on hand to help visitors gain a comprehensive understanding of all aspects concerning the various Al Falak projects.

Commenting on the agreement with NETASQ, Ahmed Ali Ashadawi, President and CEO, Al Falak, said, "We were looking for a wireless solution portfolio that combined unparalleled security with extensive mobility and flexibility features. A broad evaluation of various wireless products convinced us of the superiority of the NETASQ products range, which perfectly met our requirements. Besides ensuring secure Internet connectivity, the NETASQ solutions will allow us to boost revenues and develop long-term partnership with existing and potential clients in the market."

"Even as wireless networking becomes the preferred networking medium for a growing number of companies, it is essential that reliability and security requirements are not overlooked in the process. By combining network and application firewall, VPN and content filtering functions with a unique integrated real-time intrusion prevention technology, NETASQ's Unified Threat Management solutions ensure optimal and proactive protection," Ashadawi added.

NETASQ's Intrusion Prevention technology, ASQ (Active Security Qualification), provides customers the longevity required for best-of-breed security appliances which adapt to the ever-changing risks faced by information systems. NETASQ distributes its products via a network of partners, including distributors, ISP, approved VARs, retailers and integrators.

NETASQ's IPS-Firewalls address the key network security needs of small, mid-size and large central sites, service providers and remote users by providing cutting-edge technology on the complete product range. NETASQ's purpose-built security appliances provide a multi-layered security approach that stops network and content-based threats at the edge of the network without compromising performance or requiring additional hardware.

"The NETASQ products will help Al Falak address the needs of the banking, defense, finance, health, hospitality, and government sectors concerned about security and reliability of their wireless networks. We will highlight the features and benefits of NETASQ products at the Al Falak pavilion at GITEX, along with Al Falak's own range of solutions," Ashadawi said.

Al Falak recently won second place in the Best System Integrator in the Middle East category at the prestigious Network Middle East Innovation Awards 2005 held in Dubai. The award, which reaffirmed Al Falak's strength in the Middle East markets, sought to acknowledge the company's commitment to quality and service.

Founded in 1998, NETASQ develops and markets innovative IPS firewall and VPN security solutions for all types of companies, including small-to-medium sized firms, large enterprises and government agencies.
