Fujitsu Siemens' ESPRIMO family in GITEX debut
- United Arab Emirates: Monday, September 12 - 2005 at 12:10
- PRESS RELEASE
The ground-breaking ESPRIMO 'Green' PC family from leading European I.T. manufacturer Fujitsu Siemens Computers, will make its Middle East exhibition debut at the Gulf Information Technology Exhibition (GITEX).
"GITEX is all about the very latest in cutting-edge technology - and ESPRIMO represents this concept," said Habib Bouchrara, Vice President, International Sales Region, Fujitsu Siemens Computers.
"The ESPRIMO is a world-first and as GITEX visitors will discover, offers a complete ergonomic solution to increasing worldwide environmental legislation."
The ESPRIMO owes its 'Green' labelling to the fact that Fujitsu Siemens has minimised the lead content in its main boards from 12 grams to one and completely restricted the use of halogen gas. In addition, the printed circuit boards, as well as power supply and riser card, are halogen-free. Ergonomics have also been enhanced, with all ESPRIMO PCs being equipped with an advanced cooling concept, making them quieter to optimise the working environment.
The ESPRIMO rigorously complies with stringent EU guidelines, due in force by January of next year, which restrict the use of hazardous substances.
"GITEX is about the future and the technology which will drive it. The ESPRIMO spearheading as it does the industry's response to next year's EU guidelines ushers in a new era of PC technology."
Fujitsu Siemens is planning to use GITEX 2005, which will be held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre from September 25-29, to showcase its entire product range, including a glimpse of its planned Digital Entertainment Home network.
"Fujitsu Siemens Computers' new digital home concept will be a major factor at this year's show as it strives to make tomorrow's world a reality. With the latest smart technology from Fujitsu Siemens Computers, the digital home is fast becoming an actuality," said Shiela Bibi, Marketing and Communications Director, Middle East, Africa, Sub-continent and Turkey, Fujitsu Siemens Computers.
Fujitsu Siemens Computers will be hosting a VIP Room where it will showcase its server product range including blade servers and storage solutions, as well as its solutions for Dynamic Data Centre (DDC).
In its mainframe business, Fujitsu Siemens Computers has accrued more than 30 years of experience in enterprise computing, and it is this experience that forms the basis of its DDC - an innovative approach that is setting standards for IT infrastructure optimisation.
"All will be housed on a revamped pavilion which will reflect the inroads Fujitsu Siemens is now making across all its I.T. sectors within the Middle East. Fujitsu Siemens Computers is a rapidly expanding brand and GITEX is a perfect medium to convey its successes and illustrate first hand the reasoning for this continued growth," added Bibi.
