- PRESS RELEASE
His Excellency Maqbool bin Ali Sultan, Minister of Commerce and Industry, will inaugurate Motor Show 2005 today to formally open the display of latest car models as well as auto parts and accessories at the Oman International Exhibition Centre in Seeb.
Paul explained that what makes the Motor Show unique is the fact that it gathers major car dealers in Oman under one roof. The exhibition will feature the latest offerings of globally known vehicle brands such as Cadillac, Chevrolet, Daihatsu, Deer, Ford, GMC, Hummer, Kia, Lexus, Mazda, Opel, Peugeot, Skoda, Suzuki, Toyota, and Volkswagen, among others.
Motor Show 2005 will also showcase high-quality auto parts, dream accessories, and all other things related to motoring and car maintenance. Specifically, in addition to new car models, the exhibition will also present automotive lubricants and oils, heat control films, high-performance tyres, car financing, audio systems, and paint protection products.
The four-day show will run from September 14-17 from 10:00 am to 1 pm and then from 5:00 in the afternoon to 10:00 in the evening. The morning hours of Wednesday, September 14, will only be for VIPs and trade visitors invited for the opening ceremony, while the morning hours of Saturday, September 17 will be for ladies and families only. The exhibition will also be closed in the morning of Friday, September 16, but will reopen in the afternoon.
All visitors to the exhibition will get a chance to win exciting prizes courtesy of Kenwood. A number of activities have also been lined up as part of Motor Show 2005 for the enjoyment of visitors. These include a Motor Meet, which will feature highly impressive motorcycles, and a Modified Cars Meet, which will showcase vehicles that have undergone outstanding cosmetic and technical modifications.
"We have pulled all stops to ensure that Motor Show 2005 will be a memorable and enjoyable event to both exhibitors and visitors," Paul stressed. "The auto industry in Oman deserves nothing less, considering that they also do everything to continuously improve the driving experience of car owners."
Motor Show 2005 is sponsored mainly by ADNOC Lubes, the leading supplier of lubricants, oils and greases for the regional and international markets. The exhibition is co-sponsored by V-Kool, a heat control film that blocks 98% of harmful ultraviolet radiation.
Motor Show 2005 is also supported by Automan as the official publication, the Oman Economic Review as the media partner, and the Oman Daily Observer and Arabic Daily Oman as the official newspapers.
