Biggest ever Cityscape to open on Saturday

The three-day industry showpiece will cover over 11,000 square metres hosting 300 exhibitors from 51 different countries, with an exceptionally strong showing from renowned international cities such as London, Paris, Lyon, Hamburg and Warsaw. In all over 15,000 visitors from 85 countries are expected at Cityscape 2005, representing the region's prominent investors, lenders, owners and developers, not to mention industry experts in the fields of architecture and design.

Running along side the exhibition will be a cutting edge three-day conference that will address many of the current industry issues and hot topics. The conference has attracted 80 acclaimed speakers from around the globe who will address delegates during 50 presentations, which will cover the latest developments and projects, and also international best practice in the real estate industry.

An interesting addition to the conference programme will be the three post conference workshops, at the Dusit Dubai Hotel. These seminars will focus on the various financial products available, including a guide to Islamic finance, issues surrounding property valuation and how to effectively market new property developments.

This year will also see the launch of the World Architectural Congress (WAC), the first event of its kind in the Middle East. The forum will address subjects concerning urbanisation, housing, community and culture, delivered in a fascinating series of global case studies, with quality as the underlying theme.

One of the highlights of Cityscape 2005 will surely be the Architectural Review Awards, which will take place on the evening of 17th September at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel. Already one of the most glittering black tie socials on the this season's calendar, the awards drew over 300 entries and speculation is reaching fever pitch as to who will scoop this year's prestigious awards.
