Indonesia Solo Exhibition set for a grand opening at Expo Centre Sharjah

The event will be inaugurated by H.E. Sheikh Abdullah Bin Salem Al Qassimi, Chief of the Sharjah Emiri Court, His Excellency Mr. Faisal Bafadal, Indonesian Ambassador to the UAE, and Mr. Rhenald Kasali, Special Advisor to the Minister of Trade, Republic of Indonesia, and in charge of NAFED (National Agency for Export Development).

The five-day ISE, which is Indonesia's largest and most comprehensive trade fair in the Gulf region, will this year feature over 300 Indonesian companies.

Products from the mining, agriculture, forestry, marine and plantation, food products, automotives, wood, household, chemicals, electronics, electrical, traditional herbal medicine and cosmetics, small scale and handicrafts industries from Indonesia will be showcased at the event.

Service sectors like tourism, banking and finance, transportation, and IT will also be prominently represented at the event.

Other attractions will include travel and cultural publications and opportunities to interact with regional and provincial governments from Indonesia who are keen to promote tourism and attract investments.

ISE 2005 is being jointly organised by the National Agency for Export Development (NAFED) of the Indonesian Government's Ministry of Trade in close cooperation with the Indonesian Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Indonesian Consulate General in Dubai, and Expo Centre Sharjah with the support of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Some of the major attractions for the general public at ISE 2005 will be the fashion and cultural shows, and the food demos and tasting sessions.

An investment seminar on September 20th will be of special interest to those who are keen on exploring investment opportunities in Indonesia.

The ISE 2005 is open exclusively for trade on September 19 and 20 from 10 am to 1 pm and from 4.30 pm to 9.30 pm and again on September 21 and 22 from 10 am to 1 pm. For the general visitors, the event is open from September 21 to September 23 between 4.30 pm and 9.30 pm. Children under 16 will not be allowed in the halls.
