Saeed Al Muntafiq, Chairman of DHCC, said, "The Harvard Medical School Dubai Center is a key element of DHCC's efforts to make Dubai a regional leader in medical education. "The physicians and researchers who train in this program will form the core faculty who will lead health care and research initiatives in the Gulf Region," he said. "The main focus of DHCC's support is to provide leadership that will complement and strengthen clinical services at DHCC and, ultimately, benefit patients."

"Dr. Muhadditha will assume leadership and supervisory responsibility for the implementation and oversight of all academic aspects of HMSDC. She will focus her activity on establishing the educational plan for postgraduate training at DHCC and establishing a clinical research program that will meet international standards" he said.
Dr. Thurer explained that Dr. Muhadditha's key responsibilities include providing team leadership and management of the Education Department, providing coordination between HMSDC and Center of Healthcare Planning and Quality (CPQ) staff concerning administrative and financial matters, developing education program proposals, budgets, assessments, recruitment, and implementation.
"She will develop, implement and manage the Harvard Medical School Dubai Center postgraduate and continuing medical education programs in Dubai, including developing a process of student recruitment and selection as well as developing postgraduate training opportunities at HMS-affiliated and other internationally recognised academic healthcare institutions," Dr. Thurer added.

Dr. Muhadditha has an impressive track record. She is a highly motivated and skilled UAE national with Doctorate in Public Health and Disease Control. Dr. Muhadditha is the Co-Founder and coordinator of the Bachelor of Science Health Education programme at Sharjah Women's College.
She is experienced in program development and management, community liaison, quality assurance programs, and management of projects and research from conception to completion. She also has five years teaching experience at the Higher Colleges of Technology.
Dr. Muhadditha did her, Bachelor of Science, Masters and doctorate degrees in the US.She developed the first of its kind Atlas of Cancer Mortality for the UAE, using the geographic information systems (GIS) method as part of her doctoral dissertation.
