'Mitel has an excellent reputation of technical competence and product innovation in our Saudi market and is well known in the voice related local industry and government sector', said Salama Salim Al Sheikh, MD, ETE. ''We have been dealing with Mitel products for a long time and don't believe there are easier or more advanced telephony products to deal with on the market toady. Mitel is a now leading vendor in the IP communication industry as well and I believe the time is right for Mitel Networks and ETE to and take advantage of the great business communications emerging market. There are vast upgrade and migration opportunities where we can make a difference with Mitel technology,' added Mr. Al Sheikh.

"We are pleased at the swift appointment and accreditation of ETE as a new channel added to Mitel regional network of IT partners. As we said recently the Kingdom is a large IT market that needs dedication and focus. It is not since the Y2K issue of 1999 that any serious investment has been made outside the security aspect. We believe the time is ready to witness a double layers growth, not only for renewed investment of CPE replacement since 99, but also to take advantage of the VoiP and broadband application now that the economy is driving the progress', said Hisham Amili, Mitel GM, GCC. ''It is equally evident that a country as large as Saudi, nearly the size of Western Europe, can only be covered adequately by multiple routes of qualified vertical and geographical channel partners,'' explained Mr Amili.

'The ETE appointment is another important step in the implementation of Mitel strategy to develop the Saudi VoIP market in light of WTO, Liberalisation and other encouraging aspects. I am also delighted that Mitel has just announced its decision to add another direct offices in the Central region of the kingdom. Thus We are demonstrating our commitment to the Saudi Market in practical terms and aiming to get closer to the end users,'' concluded Mr. Amili.
