Ismail Akil Abbasi, CEO of Bonyan Holding, confirmed the company's participation in two strategic alliances, between Bonyan and the renowned Malaysia-based architectural firm, Veritas Design Group and with Singapore-based SMM, the facilities management business unit of JURONG International.

Bonyan Project Management and Bonyan SMM, the twin fruits of the joint venture agreements, are desirable and significant additions to the UAE property market, Abbasi said.

" We are dedicated to build quality projects that are delivered on time, and suit the needs for the local market, yet offer special facets of innovative design and impeccable after sales service," commented Mr. Abbasi.

"We strive to offer an affordable one-stop solution to real estate needs, and we remain committed to putting the end users needs first. Bonyan is fortunate to join hands with outstanding partners with proven track records," he added.

The joint venture partnership with Veritas, will establish a project management company capable of providing the full scope of real estate development consultancy services for both Bonyan's in-house projects as well as external clients.

"The Bonyan and Veritas strategic partnership is a result of deep trust and respect that has evolved between us over the last two years. It is the interfacing of two complimentary cultures - Malaysian and Emirati - giving rise to a truly global entity. I believe that together Bonyan and Veritas have the potential to forge an international project management capability that will be unsurpassed in excellence and success," said Mr. David Hashim, President Veritas Design Group.

The joint venture partnership with SMM will ensure that the design, systems and functional aspects of developments are professionally maintained and meet the highest quality standards. SMM's reputation in the fields of energy efficiency and optimization and building structure assessment is also expected to bring about a paradigm shift in Dubai's real estate market.

The joint venture agreements represent a strong Middle East introduction for the two Far East-based companies.

For the Veritas Design Group, with its specialist divisions for architectural teams, interiors and management, the move is an ideal way to enter the Middle Eastern market. A representative from SMM echoed the statement.

"Our partnership with Bonyan is an ideal way to enter the dynamic Middle Eastern market; we look forward to a fruitful relationship, and providing effective facilities management solutions customized for local market needs," said Mr. Lee Soon Eng, President of SMM and Executive Vice President of JURONG International

The international real estate development alliances will expand The Abbasi Group's stable of blue-chip companies, including Bonyan Emirates Properies, textile trading firm Worldtex and Dubtrade, and Middle East master franchisee for global specialty coffee chain The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf.

Since its inception in 1988, Bonyan Emirates Properties has cemented its reputation as a major player in the realty solutions market, with strengths in real estate investments, acquisitions, management, leasing and advisory services sectors.

The company's own development projects include the Azure and Panoramic residential buildings in the Dubai Marina with state-of-the-art leisure facilities. Both properties sold out in record time.

Other developments currently underway for Bonyan include the Icon building planned within the Dubai Technology, Electronic Commerce and Media (TECOM) Free Zone; a planned residential tower in The Palm, Jebel Ali; and a luxurious twin tower mixed use project confirmed to break ground in Dubai's Business Bay location.

Bonyan is also reviewing proposed residential projects in the Dubai Waterfront and Arabian Bay with further plans to introduce Bonyan Hospitality, a new chain of furnished apartments that combine innovative life-style aspects with affordable three-star comfort.
