IBM and SBM to host on-demand events in Saudi Arabia
- Saudi Arabia: Monday, September 19 - 2005 at 13:19
- PRESS RELEASE
Following a number of successful events in Jordan and Lebanon last week, IBM will be visiting Saudi Arabia next week to brief customers, channel partners and Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) about the latest technologies and innovations that enable business on demand.
"The business environment in the Middle East is changing. The customer is changing and increasingly wants products and services on his own terms, specific to his needs when, where, and how he chooses. Today, advantage is going to go to those companies with the ability to sense changes in their environment at ever-earlier stages in ever-more-granular detail and to respond opportunistically. The on-demand business model will help our customers address these fundamental challenges and place their organisations at the forefront of their competitive markets," said Takreem El-Tohamy, general manager, IBM Middle East, Egypt and Pakistan.
Under the theme of on-demand, the events in Saudi Arabia will focus on IBM's new systems group agenda that covers its On Demand vision and strategy as well as its eServer family and storage solutions, as well as a special session on the company's software strategy in the region. Senior managers from the company's Middle East headquarters will also demonstrate how an on-demand business model can help organisations integrate their business processes, other applications and myriad pervasive computing devices end-to-end across the company and with key partners, suppliers and customers to respond with flexibility and speed to any customer demand, market opportunity or threat.
