Air Arabia to fly to Jordan

Air Arabia LLC, the Middle East region's first and only low-fares airline, announced the start of operations to Aqaba, Jordan from 19th October 2005.

This new route highlights the carrier's aggressive expansion plans and further demonstrates market demand for affordable travel.

Air Arabia will fly twice a week to Aqaba from Sharjah every Wednesday and Sunday, departing Sharjah at 15:00 to arrive in Aqaba at 17:25 local time. Flights from Aqaba will depart at 18:10 to arrive in Sharjah at 23:25. Air Arabia offers the opportunity to Jordanians in the UAE to travel home and visit their families more often. Direct coach links will connect Aqaba Airport to Amman and other major cities en route. About Aqaba Development Corporation and Aqaba Special Economic Zone

The Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA) and the Government of Jordan launched at the beginning of 2004, the Aqaba Development Corporation (ADC) to be the central development corporation for the Aqaba Special Economic Zone (ASEZ).
