AIESEC, which has established its national office at KV's DSSP office, is organising 25 international work placements this academic year for UAE-based students, 50% of which will be exclusively for KV students.

AIESEC complements many of KV- DSSP's career development initiatives including its Free Zone internship and scholarship programme, by providing the opportunity for KV students to work abroad.

"We are pleased to have Dubai Knowledge Village as a founding partner," said Nadine Wiegert President AIESEC, UAE. "I believe this partnership will help both organisations in playing a vital role in developing students as future leaders by providing through AIESEC's offices unique opportunities to the youth in the country and thus contributing to human development in the UAE."

"As part of its student career development initiatives, Dubai Knowledge Village already offers internships with UAE-based companies," said Dr Abdulla Al Karam, CEO Dubai Knowledge Village (KV). "Now through our partnership with AIESEC we can offer internships on a global level that will considerably enhance students' academic experience here."

"We are very pleased to partner with AIESEC as we feel their vision for student development is a perfect fit with ours," said Wessen Rawazik, Manager, KV Department of Student Services and Programs (DSSP). "We feel AIESEC will add great value to the services we provide KV students"

AIESEC will be selecting its next group of UAE-based students for its work placement initiative in November 2005.
