To give its customers a truly local experience, the service centre, which offers a comprehensive array of innovative financial solutions, provides customers with personalized services from a team of highly qualified UAE National employees. 'The focus is to give customers a strong sense of belonging as experienced service staff will assist them with all their banking requirements and queries.'
'We plan to open more such centres in other locations around the UAE,' Burhan said, adding that the bank has great confidence in its National talent and will strive towards future centres being completely managed and run by UAE Nationals. 'At ABN AMRO we believe in developing young UAE nationals as it is important for them to fully participate in the economic and social development of their country.'
The new ABN AMRO Customer Service Centre is equipped with a 24 hour 7 days a week electronic banking zone allowing customers to carry out all their banking transactions with greater convenience. It will also house the new generation Kiosk Teller System, which will deliver extended services to customers in an automated, user-friendly interface featuring video conferencing technology. The new branch, conveniently located on Al Maktoum Street, will offer the full range of ABN AMRO's electronic banking services to its customers. The customer service officers will also be available to assist all client enquiries from 8 am to 3 pm.
Commenting on the opening, Yousuf Al Suwaidi, Service Centre Manager said: 'ABN AMRO, known for its specialised advisory services, qualified personal bankers and high service levels, has always been at the forefront of development initiatives in the UAE. On a personal level it gives me great pride to be involved with such a project.'
As a demonstration of ABN AMRO's commitment to enhancing its presence and visibility in the local market, Mr. Kloosterman explained that the Bank would continue to build on the strong foundation it has laid down in the UAE over the last three decades through a better understanding of the market needs and broadening the scope of its financial services and products.
Highlighting the bank's plans to pursue an aggressive retail banking strategy, he added that ABN AMRO would expand its market share in the UAE by further extending its reach through the installation of ATMs and offsite banking kiosks.
