  • PRESS RELEASE

Recent analyst surveys are proving the hottest market for wireless use in the Middle East and Gulf region, with wireless and hotspot use expected to continue to grow rapidly.

Dubai-based analysts Madar Research Group predicts that the Gulf Coast will see over 1,000 hotspots in use by the end of next year, with wireless user numbers reaching 250,000 in the region by the end of 2006.

But are wireless users jeopardising their networks through insufficient security? Are they putting their companies and computers at risk by deploying wireless without appropriate security in place?

Wireless security solutions provider Bluesocket (www.bluesocket.com) is forging growth in this marketplace and it is one of the first wireless security providers in the Middle East market. Working with Secureway, a specialist security value-added distributor with channel partners in the Middle East and North Africa, Bluesocket can now provide simple, safe and securely manageable WLAN solutions to the Middle East with a full suite of products that includes access points that require zero configuration and the industry's first centralised RF sensor.

Bluesocket will be participating with Secureway at the GITEX 2005 conference in Dubai, and will be in Hall 6, stand L6-4 demonstrating the BlueSecure Wireless Network portfolio. Bluesocket Sales Director for Western Europe and Distribution Director for EMEA Jim Calderbank will be at GITEX and is available to speak about end-to-end wireless security in this rapidly expanding marketplace.
