- PRESS RELEASE
Empost, the UAE's national courier company, has recently signed an agreement with the Department of Security Affairs and Ports of Abu Dhabi Police to deliver all documents issued by the Department to its customers, through Empost's "Tawseel" service.
Customers can avail the "Tawseel" service by purchasing a sticker and upon filing the application at the Department of Security Affairs, Empost will deliver the completed document within 48 hours of its receipt to the address specified by the client. Empost will make about 150 deliveries per day from the Department to its clients.
Colonel Matar Hamad Al Muhairy said: "The agreement with Empost follows the directive issued by Major-General Shaikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Interior, to provide applicants the best security services by adopting the most advanced processes and implementing the measures necessary to ensure customer service of the highest quality. The General Directorate of Abu Dhabi Police is committed to implement these directives by providing prompt and efficient service to the Department's clients. Empost's Tawseel service ensures speedy delivery of the documents, thereby sparing applicants the trouble of having to physically visit the Department to collect the documents."
Sultan Al Midfa said, "The agreement with the Abu Dhabi Police is part of Empost's strategic marketing plan for its Tawseel service, whereby Empost is partnering with various government departments to complement their services and enhance customer satisfaction. Empost will ensure that clients of the Department of Security Affairs are provided timely and efficient courier service, adding significant value to the Department's customer relationships."
"Empost is committed to introducing speedy, reliable and secure courier services that benefit the society at large, and is constantly striving towards broadening the scope and reach of our services. In this regard, we are exploring the possibility of getting organizations in the public and private sectors to adopt our various services for the benefit of their customers," Al Midfa added.
Al Muhairy commented that the decision to adopt "Tawseel" service was a result of the assessment of the functioning of different sections of the Department of Security Affairs, especially the ones which involve direct contact with customers on a daily basis. Al Muhairy further said that the Department is currently undertaking a thorough appraisal of the various services to find ways of implementing best practices to provide high-quality customer services. The move is part of Abu Dhabi Police's strategy of constantly enhancing the standard of its service.
