Dubai Municipality to offer bus service to GITEX Computer Shopper

Dubai Municipality will be offering two special bus routes to enable the Dubai residents to visit the Middle East's largest IT show, GITEX Computer Shopper 2005, offering a hassle-free ride to the show's venue at Dubai Airport Expo starting from Saturday until 30 September.
The buses originating from Gold Souq pass through Naif Street, Al Maktoum Street, Omar Bin Al Khattab Road and Deira Taxi Station before reaching the GITEX Computer Shopper venue. The fare for a one-way trip is Dhs1.50. This service will start at 2.15pm and the last bus from Airport Expo will leave at 10.05pm.
The buses starting from Al Ghubaibah Bus station run through Khalid Bin Waleed Road, Maktoum Bridge, Al Maktoum Street before reaching the GITEX Computer Shopper venue. The fare for a one-way trip on this route is Dhs2.50. This service will start at 2pm and the last bus from Airport Expo will leave at 10.20pm.
"The objective of introducing these special services is to offer the GITEX Computer Shopper visitors a cheap and hassle-free journey. Besides, it will also reduce traffic congestion on the roads leading to the venue and offer a solution to the parking problem," said Mr. Malik.
He added that the decision to operate these services this year was taken following the success of similar services during the last GITEX and Dubai Shopping Festival, thereby contributing remarkably to reducing the traffic congestion at one of the major festival attractions, the Global Village.
