Headed by Mr. Abbas Bolurfrushan, President of the council, accompanied by Mr. Hadi Motameni, Executive Vice President of the Council, and Mr. Nasser Hashempour, Vice President. Mr. Sultan Majid Lootah, Director of Business Promotion at the Department of Trade and Industrial Development in the DCCI, also attended the meeting.
Al Mutaiwee welcomed the Iranian Business Council representatives and stressed the DCCI's interest in ensuring better communication and cooperation with all the business councils and groups which operate under the umbrella of the Dubai Chamber. He also underlined the importance of helping these councils and groups in developing their activities through supporting the Iranian companies working in Dubai.
'DCCI is very keen in enhancing the bilateral commercial ties between Dubai and Iran through providing its distinguished commercial services which contribute in supporting the business of the Iranian companies and strengthening cooperation between the local business community and its counterpart in Iran,' said Al Mutaiwee.
He pointed out that the Dubai Chamber plays a significant role in supporting the activities of the business councils and groups in Dubai through its services provided to the businessmen and investors to help them develop their trade relations with the business communities in other countries.
Mr. Bolurfrushan, President of the Iranian Business Council, highlighted the strong economic and trade relations between Iran and the UAE, and with Dubai in particular, stressing his government's interest in developing and supporting these relations.
'We would like the DCCI to give us information on Iranian companies which are newly registered at the Dubai Chamber, in order to extend our help to them. The Iranian Business Council is planning to arrange an exclusive meeting on November 19 to be attended by representatives of over 200 Iranian companies to help introduce the members of the council to the new Iranian companies and to explain the objectives, tasks and services of our council which are provided to the Iranian businessmen in Dubai,' said Mr. Bolurfrushan.
The President of the Iranian Business Council urged the DCCI to sponsor a meeting between representatives of government establishments and corporations and the Iranian businessmen to exchange ideas and discuss ways to activate bilateral cooperation.
He also asked for the approval of the Dubai Chamber to enable the Iranian Business Council set up a new office at the new headquarters which the DCCI is planning to set up.
The director general of the DCCI said that the business councils and groups and trade centers operating in Dubai could easily set up their offices at the DCCI's new building which will also include a business center and other related facilities which would help support and improve the Dubai Chamber's activities.
DCCI receives a delegation from the Iranian Business Council
