- PRESS RELEASE
Element K Middle East, the leading provider of Arabic and English e-Learning solutions has unveiled its latest ICDL (International Computer Driving License) Offline e-Learning Training Product at GITEX Dubai 2005.
The new training product is a CD-ROM set that contains all seven of Element K Middle East's Arabic ICDL e-Learning Courses specially configured to play offline without any internet connection required. Each of the seven courses, which correspond to the seven ICDL Syllabus 4.0 Modules, is packed with highly interactive, hands on examples demonstrated in Arabic versions of Windows XP and/or Office 2003. It also requires no special software installation or pre-existing technical knowledge on the part of the user.
The ICDL is the internationally recognised, vendor-neutral certificate which demonstrates a person's competence in computing knowledge and skills in accordance with international standards. The ICDL Syllabus Version 4.0 is comprised of seven modules: Basic Concepts of Information Technology (IT), Using the Computer and Managing Files, Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Database, Presentation, Information and Communication
"Element K Middle East is always looking for ways to make ICDL Training more convenient and easily accessible for learners. Our new ICDL Offline e-Learning Product was designed specifically for users who may not always have internet access but who are looking for a complete e-Learning experience. Our goal was to create a tool that is portable, easy to use, and has the same world class quality, content, and user experience that is present in our online ICDL e-Learning courses," said Susan Bodinson, General Manager, Element K Middle East. "With our new ICDL Offline e-Learning, students can access the courses at their own pace which is especially beneficial for users less familiar with computers, giving them more time and practise to learn the skills of the ICDL."
Element K Middle East will be demonstrating their new ICDL Offline e-Learning product as well as their Arabic and English e-Learning and courseware at GITEX. Demonstrations will be available at both the Element K Middle East Stand (Hall 6, Stand H6-2) and the ICDL GCC Foundation Stand (Hall 8, Stand H8-1)
