Avon to showcase products at Women Expo 2005

Avon, the world's No. 1 direct seller of beauty and cosmetic products, will take part in Women Expo 2005, which is scheduled at the Oman International Exhibition Centre on December 11- 17 this year.
Telya pointed out that Avon products are not sold in stores and retail outlets and can only be bought through Avon members who personally visit customers and advise them on skin care and beauty products according to their skin type and needs.
"Avon is a brand trusted by women worldwide, and their participation in Women Expo 2005 is a clear demonstration of the company's commitment to contribute to the continued development of women," stressed C.J. Paul, general manager of Omanexpo, the leading events management company in the Sultanate.
Paul explained that Women Expo 2005 will showcase everything that sets women apart and enable them to lead productive lives. In addition to beauty products, perfumes and women's fashion, the exhibition will also focus on educational opportunities and the serious health problems that commonly affect women.
Telya revealed that even Avon is also helping increase awareness on breast cancer, which is the most common type of cancer among women in many parts of the world including Oman. As part of its crusade against breast cancer, Avon is raising funds which will be used in ongoing efforts to effectively treat the deadly disease and protect the lives of women.
Women Expo 2005 is supported by the Ministry of Health (MOH), the Ministry of Social Development (MOSD), and the National Association for Cancer Awareness (NACA).
