As part of the innovative initiative, speed cameras in the city will now feature a "Drive Safely" Slogan, underlining the importance of slowing down for everyone's safety.

Speaking about the campaign, Sherifa Hady, Marketing Manager of HP IPG Middle East said: "We are delighted in launching this driver-friendly initiative in Dubai. For one week, every speed camera on the busy thoroughfare of Sheikh Zayed Road will feature a friendly message. A specially designed "Drive Safely" Slogan atop speed cameras will not merely caution rash and impatient drivers, but we hope that it will also bring about a positive change of mood, and urge them to adopt a more careful approach to driving," she stated. The slogan "Drive Safely" will be featured on all speed cameras located between Garhoud and Jebel Ali.

"We believe that the HP "Drive Safely" programme will bring about change on the roads in Dubai in a positive fashion. Very often drivers fail to see or simply forget the signs for speed limits, and end up getting caught on camera for speeding. Having such a slogan posted atop speed cameras will remind and restrain them in the friendliest of ways," she stated.

The "Drive Safely" campaign will launch in tandem with GITEX 2005. HP's Sherifa Hady, Marketing Manager of HP IPG Middle East concludes, "We expect that the campaign will become a talking point for this great city and put a smile, not a frown on drivers' faces."
