American University of Beirut Medical Center to provide services at DHCC

Consultant Physicians is the outcome of the cooperative partnership between the AUBMC and Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Center Group. The project was initially announced at a press briefing during Arab Health 2005 in Dubai. This project comes as part of Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Center Group's strategy to establish medical organisations within Dubai Healthcare City to provide the highest quality healthcare services to patients across the region.

Dr. Gabi Al Wazz Consultant General Surgery & Endoscopy and the Medical Director of the Consultant Physicians, said that the CP centre at DHCC would benefit from the cooperation agreement signed with AUB, which was established in 1876 and considered as one of the most famous and reputed universities in the world.

"CP will follow the AUB spirit and standards as the majority of our physicians are AUB and North American graduates. In addition, our centre will be a line of communication with the AUBMC regarding second medical opinion and referral cases. Physicians working at the AUBMC will also visit the CP at DHCC regularly."

Dr. Al Wazz added: "We aim at the CP (in cooperation with the AUBMC) to provide the highest quality healthcare services to the people of UAE and the whole region taking into consideration the multi-cultural nature of the Emirates community. To achieve this goal we hired a group of highly talented physicians graduated from the best American and world-famous universities. We have also obtained the best of the medical sets and machines in accordance with the highest international standards.

"Our philosophy is to provide all the sub-specialties within the sole specialty such as Pulmonary and Diabetic specialties within the Pediatrics Clinic and laser treatment in Dermatology Clinic," he said.

Dr. Al Wazz emphasised that all the people working at CP aim to provide the best quality professional medical services in accordance with the highest international standards. "CP, in cooperation with the AUBMC, will be one of the leading healthcare organisations in the region. Patients' satisfaction always comes first," Dr. Al Wazz stressed.

He noted that the working hours for the CP will be from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. everyday. "We think this time will suit the patients," Dr. Al Wazz added.
