Etisalat to launch IP-based Virtual Private Networks for corporate sector by end of 2005

Emirates Telecommunications Corporation- Etisalat- is exhibiting at GITEX, a IP-based Virtual Private Network (VPN) telecommunications solution that enhances communications between various locations of a company.
This system is based on Multi-protocol Label Switching (MPLS) and this enables multiple sites to communicate in a private and secure manner over Etisalat's network. This service has been divided into packages that customers can choose to optimize their applications. The guaranteed classes of service are Platinum, Gold and Silver, and these include real-time and transactional communications, database sharing and email communication. The speeds of the packages range from 64kbps to 1Gbps.
The system provides any-to-any connectivity, meaning that users at the customer site will have no difficulty in communicating with his or her colleagues using voice, video or data. The service is fully scalable, allowing for corporate growth in number of users as well as locations.
