The company will feature new technology demonstrations of AMD processor-based solutions on its stand numbers 29, 30, 39 and 40 in the Dubai Internet City (DIC) Community Zone situated in the centre of Concourse 2, between Halls 7 and 8 of the Dubai World Trade Centre complex.

In addition to its direct participation, AMD will also be working closely with OEM partners to help educate visitors and promote AMD processor-based solutions at the show. AMD is committed to supporting regional partners and customers, understanding that enterprise customers are looking for solutions that address their business needs from top to bottom.

"One of AMD's key priorities since setting up our Middle East office has been to build and strengthen our regional ecosystem for our partners including our global OEM customers," said Pierre Brunswick, AMD's regional sales director, Russia-CIS, Middle East & Africa. "By supporting our partners at important events like Gitex, we can provide end users with regional expertise and access to AMD's truly innovative products and solutions, including our industry-leading 64-bit and dual-core solutions."

To encourage visitors to stop by all of its partner stands, AMD representatives at the company's stand will hand out special promotional "Tech Walk" cards that can be stamped at all the AMD partners' stands before being deposited at the AMD stand for a raffle to be held on September 29, 2005 for participants to win Ferrari Paddock club passes to the Bahrain Grand Prix 2006 and the latest Acer Ferrari 4000 notebook. Go to an AMD stand for a copy of the official rules. A full size replica Ferrari F1 2002 show car will also be displayed at the AMD stand to support this promotion.

In addition to "TechWalk", AMD will also be jointly holding a series of presentations to be given to selected vertical sector decision makers to educate and share AMD technology advantages at the Ras Al Khaimah meeting rooms on the second floor of the Gitex exhibition complex.

"We have found in consultation with our local OEM partners that educating their respective partners and customers has become of prime importance," pointed out Tarek Heiba, AMD's general manager, Middle East and Africa. "AMD's presentations will highlight technical information and business advantages that can empower our customers and their partners to break free to choose solutions that best meet their needs."
