ITQAN in deal with Jumeirah Hospitality and Leisure

ITQAN - AL Bawardi Computers, the region's leading reseller of Microsoft solutions, has won the contract to become the sole Microsoft desk-top provider to the Dubai-based Jumeirah Hospitality and Leisure, which owns some of the world's finest hotels including the Burj Al Arab, Jumeirah Beach Hotel, and Bab Al Shams Desert Resort & Spa.

The ground-breaking agreement - worth 1.5 million AED per annum - will see ITQAN provide all of Jumeirah Hospitality and Leisure's Microsoft Solutions including Microsoft Office Professional, Windows OS, and Microsoft CORE Client Access, along with ITQAN's value added products of region-specific, Arabized solutions.

"The state-of-the-art solution deployed by ITQAN will enable all of our users within the various hotels and businesses to readily access, organize, and share select information without compromising on confidential data," said Joe Tesafi, chief technology officer, Jumeirah Hospitality and Leisure.

ITQAN will supply more than 2,000 desk-top and 200 server software packages to Jumeirah Hospitality and Leisure which also owns the Carlton Tower Hotel and the Lowndes Hotel in London, Wild Wadi Water Park in Dubai and Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management.

"We believe that only ITQAN has the commercial and technical ability to provide these solutions for Jumeirah Hospitality and Leisure. Time and again ITQAN wins new business because of our consistent track record of exceeding client expectations," said Dean Polley, ITQAN's general manager.

The Microsoft Enterprise Agreement runs until 2008 and is the simple way for Jumeirah Hospitality and Leisure to acquire the rights to use Microsoft software products on an ongoing basis which reduce administrative overheads and software management costs.

"As a Microsoft Gold Partner, ITQAN will be able to offer Jumeirah Hospitality and Leisure the highest levels of IT support. Our knowledge and relationship with Microsoft and its products mean each of the Group's businesses will receive first-class service," said Amit Kohly, partnership account manager, ITQAN.
