Samsung targets 50 per cent of Middle East's LCD monitor market by 2006

Samsung Electronics, the world leader in digital technology aims to capture 50 per cent of Middle East's LCD monitor marketplace by year 2006.
Samsung's new TFT-LCD monitor-series, available in diverse sizes, ranging from 15-inch to 46-inch, are equipped with 12, first-of-a-kind magic functions that offer both, IT users and regular consumers, a choice of monitors that accommodate all computer display requirements. The prime objective of inventing the Magic-series monitors is to offer sophisticated functionalities that are non-existent in the current generation of monitors.
Speaking on Samsung's commitment to GITEX, Mr. K. H. Koh, General Manager, Digital Information Technology Division, Samsung Gulf Electronics (SGE) said, "The launch of Samsung's latest range of Magic-series monitors would serve to reinvent the traditional computer display industry in the region and we are proud to play a vital role at GITEX 2005."
'Imagine' is the Samsung's theme for this year's GITEX. Samsung will demonstrate its real-to-life digital experience through its unrivalled digital showcase. Living up to its commitment to bringing the latest cutting-edge technologies to the Middle East region, Samsung Electronics, the global digital technology leader, will be offering visitors a complete, first hand digital convergence experience at this year's edition of GITEX, the largest information technology event in the Middle East.
"Samsung prides itself on being a global leader, bringing to GITEX 2005 the latest advanced technology with a consumer-friendly feel. With the explosion of online computer gaming and multimedia-based computer applications, consumers today are demanding high-end display viewing technology and we are proud to say that our SyncMaster monitors offer the ultimate solution," continued Mr. Koh.

With the new SyncMaster monitors and its ultra-fast response times, Samsung once again will flex its technology muscle and offer consumers at GITEX 2005 a competitively priced display featuring best-of-breed technology that is sure to please," Mr. Narayanan concluded.
The Samsung pavilion in GITEX, located in Hall B2-1 and spread over 323-sqm, will be designed to offer consumer a direct experience of its 'Imagine' theme.
