The Polycom Arabic UI will be uncovered during GITEX 2005, exclusively at First Video Communication's (FVC) stand, the region's leading provider of rich media communications.

The Arabic UI will be available on leading Polycom VSX platform models VSX7000s, VSX7000e, VSX8000 from Q4 2005 onwards, providing an easy to use Arabic menu and navigation system. Customers who have already purchased the VSX systems from FVC can choose to have the interface integrated into their software.

"The global teleconferencing market is currently estimated at $3 billion and is growing rapidly each year. The Polycom Arabic UI is an exciting breakthrough for us and we are delighted to demonstrate the capabilities of this technology during GITEX, along with our partner FVC. The Middle East region attributes to a vast portion of this global market, and it is therefore vital that we address the needs of the Arab community," commented Steve Leyland, Managing Director, Polycom EMEA.

"We are confident that through our strong partnership with FVC, we will be able to cater to the business communication requirements of both large and small establishments. Video conferencing greatly reduces travel costs and time, and the new Arabic interface will make it even more accessible to regional businesses and will help them use the technology more efficiently," added Mr. Leyland.

K.S. Parag Regional Director, FVC, reiterated the benefits of this pioneering technology by saying, "With large establishments such as MBC, Pepsi, Ajman University, and Shell already using Polycom's video conferencing solutions, we are excited about the prospects of this exciting new development."

With a rapidly expanding customer base totaling more than 1000 establishments in the region, Polycom's Middle East partner, FVC has become synonymous with providing world class solutions in the area of video and audio conferencing, 3G technology, network solutions and traffic management. They will be exhibiting these technologies during GITEX 2005 in Dubai, from September 25th - 29th 2005 at Hall 7 in the World Trade Centre.
