Bahwan IT takes gold with Microsoft

Bahwan IT, one of Microsoft's most important partners in Oman, has qualified as a Gold Certified Microsoft Partner, the company announced at Gitex today.
Gold partner status is the highest level of Microsoft partner certification, and indicates both the expertise of the partner, and the strength of their relationship with Microsoft. The company has qualified for Gold status in Advanced Infrastructure Solutions and Security Solutions. In order to qualify Bahwan had to undergo a rigorous assessment process with Microsoft, to prove its technical qualifications, experience and business preparedness in its chosen areas of expertise.
"By achieving Gold partner status, Bahwan proves its dedication to providing our customers with IT solutions that meet the highest standards possible, in line with the vision of the Chairman of the group, Sheikh Suhail Salim Bahwan. This certification shows the strength of our relationship with Microsoft, and confirms our place as one of the leaders in IT solutions in Oman," said Mrs Bahwan, Bahwan IT.
Bahwan IT is a part of the Bahwan group, and has 23 years experience of providing end-to-end IT solutions to customers in the Sultanate of Oman. The company has a long standing relationship with Microsoft, and a very strong customer base using Microsoft solutions, including Bank Muscat, Oman Refinery Company, Oman Aviation, Granherne LLC, Al Jenaibi International Automobiles LLC, Sohar Aluminum, and the University of Nizwa.
As a Gold partner for Microsoft, Bahwan IT will have access to specialist support and tools to help them stand out in the marketplace, and will receive additional services from Microsoft.
To qualify, the company has to reach a certain standard of technical certifications among its staff, and it also has to have proven experience in the specified areas including reference customers. The company must also have a clear business plan to grow its competencies in the specialist field.
To specialize in Advanced Infrastructure Solutions, Bahwan IT had to show its expertise with Active Directory and Identity Management solutions, Microsoft Exchange Migration and deployment and systems management. For Security Solutions specialization Bahwan IT demonstrated its capabilities in security policy management, security infrastructure services and identity and access management.
Bahwan IT is now looking to expand its competencies into additional areas of expertise, including Network Infrastructure, Licensing Solutions and Information Worker Solutions.
