Dubai Civil Aviation Authority is to host APTS 2006.

The Middle East's premier aviation and maritime security event, APTS, has been granted the official patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President, Department of Civil Aviation - Dubai and Chairman of the Emirates Group.
The only event in the region dedicated to aviation, maritime, border and transport security, APTS ME will take place on the 3rd & 4th April 2006 at the Grand Hyatt, Dubai, UAE.
The Middle East is among the fastest growing regions in the world with huge investments in airports and ports, together with the necessary security infrastructure to safeguard these facilities. The inaugural APTS Middle East in 2005 was successful in bringing together over 700 security solutions' providers, key decision-makers and industry professionals from over 40 countries to discuss the future of transport and border security.
Michael Costain, Event Director of APTS ME says "with the incredible growth in tourism and construction in the Middle East there also comes a major challenge to ensure safety and security in the region. APTS ME provides a unique opportunity for providers of security products and services to capitalise on the huge amount of development in the region and build profitable business relationships."
APTS ME 2006 has the support of leading industry associations and government bodies. Hosted by the Department of Civil Aviation and Dubai International Airport, the event has the support of Dubai Ports Authority, Dubai Shipping Agents Association, Arab Air Carriers Organisation, Sharjah International Airport, Fujirah Airport and UK Trade & Investment
