Dubai Women's College receives IT Weekly Arab Technology Award for outstanding achievement in the use of IT in education

Dubai Women's College (DWC) received the 2005 IT Weekly Arab Technology Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Use of IT in Education at a gala awards ceremony held recently during GITEX.

The prestigious award was presented to DWC for its contribution to championing IT in Education including recognition of the College's innovative laptop program, one of the first in the region where laptops were required for all students. The College was also praised for being a first mover in the region to have a completely wireless campus which provides great flexibility in the learning environment.

"We are honoured to have received this Outstanding Achievement Award recognizing Dubai Women's College's leadership in the field of IT Education," stated Dr. Howard Reed. "This award inspires us to be even more diligent in keeping pace with the ever changing IT industry in the courses we offer our students."
