The organising committee meeting took place at the DTCM Head Office under the chairmanship of the DTCM Manager of Events, Mr. Marwan bin Beyat.

The department has been actively participating in the DSF right from its inception and actively promotes the trend-setting annual shopping-cum-entertainment extravaganza in overseas markets.

The programmes it organizes at the heritage sites across the emirate has been very popular with both the residents and visitors.

Mr. bin Beyat said the panel reviewed several proposals about the programmes for the DSF-2006, public facilities at heritage sites, visitors information centres and car parking arrangements.

He said the DSF-2006 will have several new heritage and cultural programmes in addition to the ones which have remained popular over the years.
