Gargash opens UAE's first dedicated Mercedes-AMG 'corner'
- United Arab Emirates: Wednesday, October 05 - 2005 at 09:01
- PRESS RELEASE
Gargash Enterprises has opened the UAE's first 'sales corner' dedicated to the complete range of Mercedes-AMG luxury high performance vehicles.
"This new sales area is an opportunity to maximise the sales potential for the expanding range of Mercedes-AMG vehicles," said Barber. "Mercedes-AMG has an aura that goes way beyond the price tag. An aura that its engines are handcrafted jewels and that production is limited to make vehicles unrivalled in their segments."
Last year, Gargash Enterprises sold 116 Mercedes-AMG vehicles but expect sales to rise to over 170 cars this year.
The company is targeting further double-digit growth in 2006 with the arrival of the ML63 AMG in the second quarter. With an outtput of 510 hp and a maximum torque of 630 Nm at 5,200 rpm, the drive unit is the world's most powerful series-produced eight-cylinder normally aspirated engine. It ensures sports car-like performance for the off-roader giving it a 0 to 100 km/h in 5.0 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h.
