French signage leader prioritises Mid East market
- United Arab Emirates: Monday, October 08 - 2001 at 13:14
- PRESS RELEASE
Leading French signage company, Power Link Electronics, says it is to prioritise the Middle East in its marketing strategy after the company's sales to the region have topped USD 1 million this year.
"Our sales to the Middle East now represent over 20% of our global business and we are now looking to double them, so the region will dominate a higher percentage of our worldwide activities," said Patrick Chan, Export Director, Power Link Electronics.
The company says increased sales are anticipated from the pending launch into the region of two new professional Neon products.
"We will launch both into the Middle East at the Sign & Graphic Imaging show in Dubai this January. We have participated in this show since 1999 since then our sales to the region have increased ten-fold," said Chan.
Currently working through Dubai distributor Masonlite Sign Supplies & Equipment, Power Link says it plans to use Sign & Graphic Imaging to source "strong and reliable marketing and distribution partners for every other country in the Middle East.
"Following the show we will appoint exclusive distributors and base a technical support team in the Middle East," said Chan.
Power Link Electronics is among exhibitors from 10 countries already committed to Sign & Graphic Imaging Middle East, which will be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from January 22-24 next year.
The show, the only event serving the specialised signage and graphic imaging sector in the region, is expected to take up two DWTC halls.
"International interest in the show, from Europe, the Middle and Far East underlines our belief that this particular segment is set for huge regional growth," said Mohammed Falaknaz, Vice Chairman, International Expo-Consults (IEC), which organises the show.
"To date, more than 80% of the exhibitor profile is international and two thirds of these are brand new to the show."
