AED 20 million school project in Ajman to be managed by GEMS

Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with GEMS (Global Education Management Systems), the leading education provider in the region, to establish and manage the first premium American private school in the Emirate of Ajman that will involve an investment of AED 20 million.

"We are extremely grateful to the vision and leadership of His Highness Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Ruler of Ajman, who has always supported the development of facilities for potential and existing resident communities in Ajman. Our alliance with GEMS, comes in line with the vision of H.H, to establish an American private school that will cater to all members of the community in and around Ajman", said Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman.

This will be the first premium International private school in the Emirate offering the American Curriculum to students from Ajman and the neighboring emirates. The school will start operations in September 2006 and will feature a wide spectrum of facilities ranging from state-of-the-art ICT suites, swimming pool, sports hall and specialist teaching and learning areas.

"GEMS is honored to have His Highness Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi's support on this esteemed initiative that will help us provide holistic world-class education in Ajman and the UAE. This school will promote the overall development of Ajman through its high standards of education in the emirate", said Hugh MacPherson, Chief Operating Officer, GEMS.

The school will initially operate from Kindergarten to Grade 6 and eventually up to Grade 12. Being a GEMS managed school, the staff will be highly qualified and well experienced. In addition, the school will benefit from the global network that offers ongoing educational expertise.
