Volvo Cars Middle East appoints new Marketing Director

Volvo Cars Middle East recently appointed Alex Reidl as new Marketing Director for the Middle East and African region.

Alex's responsibilities will include overseeing all marketing aspects within a network of importers of Volvo cars and parts in the GCC, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Yemen and Iraq.

Alex has an extensive background in the automotive industry with different luxury brands. He joined Volvo in 1999 and held several marketing positions in the USA, Sweden and Australia with his last appointment being Marketing Director for Volvo Mexico.

"Volvo Cars has a very exciting time ahead worldwide and especially in this region. I am very happy to see Alex Reidl taking the position of Marketing Director and am confident that his expertise and knowledge will help Volvo reach its full potential in this growing market", said Greg Maruszewski, Managing Director for Volvo Car Overseas Middle East.

Commenting on his new appointment, Alex Reidl said "I always look for new challenges and this market is currently witnessing many changes and major expansion which is perfect for an evolving brand like Volvo. With Volvo's new line-up of cars in the region, the V50 - the compact sportswagon - the XC90 V8 - Volvo's first V8 engine - and the soon to be launched all new C70 convertible and coupe, the future looks bright for Volvo in the Middle East and I am delighted to be part of it."
