Zeine Technological Applications and Jordan Mobile Telephone Services Company launch new service
- Jordan: Monday, October 08 - 2001 at 14:01
- PRESS RELEASE
Zeine Technological Applications (ZEINE) and Jordan Mobile Telephone Services Company (Fastlink) announced the launch of a new service to Fastlink's GSM subscribers.
"We built this service as a platform that will enable individual and corporate users to have instant access to relevant information," said Basim Saleh, Business Development Manager at ZEINE.
Daleelak will provide access through the web, Short Message Service (SMS), Wireless Access Protocol (WAP), and other means that will be added in future releases. In addition, it will enable synchronization with Microsoft Outlook® and Exchange®.
ZEINE hopes to attract other GSM operators to offer this service to their subscribers. "We made it real easy for operators to offer this service. A minimum set-up cost, a revenue sharing scheme, an ASP model, the ability to market this service as one of the operator's own, and the minimal maintenance work on the operator's side are all factors that make it very appealing for operators to sign up," added Mr. Saleh.
The main competitive edge of Daleelak comes from its being an open platform that will enable users to share any kind of information with others through Service Accounts created through a wizard on the website. These service accounts can be made public (e.g. TV schedules, Yellow and White pages, flight information, etc.), or private (e.g. company intranets, specialized health care services, etc.).
