OnLine Distribution and Orthogon Systems join forces
- United Arab Emirates: Monday, October 10 - 2005 at 11:34
- PRESS RELEASE
OnLine Distribution, the Middle East's leading distributor for networking products and solutions, has signed a partnership agreement with Orthogon Systems, a major global manufacturer of Point-to-Point broadband wireless Ethernet bridges.
Demand for wireless technology is strong in the Middle East, with significant potential for sales to Internet Service Providers as that sector liberalizes. Orthogon's technology adds an important component to the network by enabling wireless connectivity across long distances including large bodies of water and around obstacles such as mountains or tall buildings - all while maintaining high levels of performance and reliability.
Sushma Kajaria, sales manager in the Security Business Unit at OnLine Distribution says, "Orthogon compliments OnLine's current wireless offerings and is another example of OnLine offering the latest innovations in the Middle East market. We are now in position to offer best-of-breed wireless solutions to our partners, and provide them with an important edge in their technology offerings to the market."
The partnership deal will see OnLine Distribution offering Orthogon Systems' latest set of point-to-point, Non-Line-of-Sight (NLoS) solutions across the region, including the popular OS-Spectra, OS-Gemini and OS-Gemini Lite systems.
In addition, as part of an ongoing partner development scheme, OnLine Distribution and Orthogon Systems plan to offer regional training programs for both resellers and end users.
Graham Owen, sales and channel director, Orthogon Systems ME added, "On Line Distribution has demonstrated a strong commitment to wireless product distribution throughout the Middle East. With their expertise in providing hands-on training to their end users, we're confident that they will be a particularly strong partner in the region who will enhance the support offerings for our existing and future customers."
