More destinations will be added to the service in the near future.

The service - which utilised Voice Over Internet Protocol - offers cheaper and easier access to International Direct Dial and provides the most affordable and convenient way to make direct dial calls to the Asian Sub-Continent and The Philippines using Batelco's 123CALL cards via fixed, mobile, SimSim or payphones.

"Offering this low cost and convenient service to our customers comes in line with our continued efforts to enable customers to be in constant touch with their loved ones," says Ahmed Al Janahi, Head of Corporate Affairs at Batelco. "This initiative once again proves Batelco's commitment to offer world-class service at affordable prices, thus enhance customer experience."

123CALL cards will enable customers to make calls to India and Pakistan at a rate of 110 fils per minute, while calls to Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and The Philippines will be 130 fils per minute. Whether the calling is to fixed or Mobile phones, the service will maintain the same call charges.

Batelco will provide its customers with all time accessibility to the service, as well as Help Desk support.

Batelco will provide the 123CALL cards in two denominations, which will be available at the outlets of the company's resellers.
