Jobs galore at Bayt.com

Bayt.com has just launched its own, dedicated career micro-site on www.bayt.com/'careers' to recruit new team members.

Bayt.com currently employs 150 staff at its 10 offices in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Riyadh, Jeddah, Al Khobar, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Jordan, and Pakistan. That figure is set to approach 500 by 2007, as the company consolidates its leading position as both a recruitment and Internet company.

Bayt has launched the micro-site to highlight the positions, work environment and corporate culture that define the organisation. Today, more than 50 jobs are advertised spanning management, sales, finance, HR, marketing and technology.

"Bayt.com has ambitious growth plans, much like the professionals and corporate clients that use our service," said Bayt.com CEO Rabea Ataya. "Having an established regional office network, with people on the ground who understand local market conditions and our clients' specific industry requirements, is a key Bayt strength. We want to build on our leadership by continuing to hire the best people."

The launch of the Bayt Career Micro-site coincides with the start of Ramadan. A recent Bayt survey* of 1,500 registered users and site visitors showed that more than half of jobseekers think it is more difficult to find work during Ramadan than at other times of the year. But it is business as usual at Bayt.com during the Holy Month, according to the company's CEO.

Ataya said: "Our business has shown growth every month since we started, and Ramadan has never been an exception. In our experience, businesses have more time during Ramadan to focus on internal issues, one of the most important of which is recruiting, and professionals have more opportunity to make long-term decisions about their careers."

Ataya added: "Clearly, the imperatives of doing business in today's global markets are also adding more pressure to find the best talent every day of the year."
