3i Infotech honored with 'Service Provider of the Year' award at the Asia Insurance Industry Awards

3i Infotech, a global provider of IT solutions and services and one of India's largest and fastest growing software product company, has won the 2005 Service Provider of the Year award at the 9th Annual Asia Insurance Awards held in the Ritz Carlton Millenia, Singapore on September 26, 2005.
Audited by KPMG, a panel of 22 eminent persons comprising industry regulators, insurance CEO's and industry association heads from Asia and across the world, decided the awards across 14 categories of excellence for the insurance industry. Previous winners for the service provider category included PriceWaterhouseCoopers, IBM Insurance Group and Trowbridge Deloitte. The key criteria for selection included excellence in market understanding, product innovation and outstanding standards of service.
While giving away the award for the service provider category, Renato de Guzman, CEO ING Asia, said in his speech, "In what is always a hotly contested category, 3i Infotech impressed judges with its ability to offer a vast range of one-stop solutions catering to all aspects of the insurance business including life, non-life, health, broker market and Takaful (Islamic Insurance) business. This is coupled with extensive use of mobile and internet computing, based on alternative distribution channels."
