At the conference, KOM Networks will display data shredding capabilities using KOMworx Compliance software and Plasmon's Compliant Write Once Media. The latest offering is a powerful add-on to the feature rich KOMworx suite of products that provides compliance and archiving abilities such as (e-WORM), e-WORM++, ILM, NAS Aggregation, global namespace and dynamic capacity management.

"We look forward to having KOM join Plasmon for Storage Expo in London to demonstrate KOMworx using a Raidtec CS3102 RAID system and UDO library. The KOMworx product provides very unique functionality for those organizations concerned with record retention and compliance," said Steve Tongish, Director of Marketing for EMEA with Plasmon. "The KOMworx product in combination with our Raidtec and UDO technology offers a comprehensive data life cycle management strategy using a cost effective tiered storage architecture."

KOM Networks is demonstrating the versatility of its flagship product, KOMworx, and will be displaying the latest key feature—KOMworx Compliance data 'shredding' capability. The software has been designed and developed to help organizations meet the stringent demands of file retention requirements along with the ability to shred expired files that require physical disposal. KOMworx Compliance along with Plasmon Compliant Write Once Media provides this capability along with other advanced features such as Hard Disk Fixed Content Archiving (e-WORM), e-WORM++ (combining WORM permanence with high performance disk storage), ILM, NAS Aggregation, global namespace and dynamic capacity management, which will also be demonstrated at the Expo.

"Storage Expo, UK provides KOM Networks the ideal location to highlight the powerful and feature rich product capabilities to the European market," said Chris Jones, Regional Manager, KOM Networks Middle East. KOMworx enables organizations to meet compliance requirements such as Basel II, Public Records Office (United Kingdom), AIPA (Italy) and GDPdU & GoBS (Germany). "By implementing KOMworx in IT environment, organizations especially in the health, financial, legal and public sector will be armed with the flexibility and resilience they need to protect, access and dispose off data as required," he added.

"There is a growing demand for an adaptive solution adjusting to the increasing regulations for record retention and data disposition," said Dr. Shaath, Chief Executive Officer of KOM Networks. "We are happy to be jointly presenting this solution with Plasmon and demonstrating the benefits of data shredding capabilities. KOMworx software combined with Plasmon UDO Compliant Write Once Media provides enhanced data shredding capabilities and the highest level of data integrity and authenticity," Dr. Shaath added.
