Welcare World Health Systems appoints new CEO

Kaushik has been brought in to assist and direct Welcare World achieve its vision of becoming an internationally recognized leader in the provision of holistic and evidence-based medicine with hospitality and care as core values.

Kaushik's experience in developing, guiding and managing world-class business operations, particularly in the healthcare sector, will help him lead Welcare as it develops and manages an expanding range of holistic healthcare delivery systems in the UAE and internationally.

A 28-year veteran of some of India's largest corporations, including most recently CEO of SRL Ranbaxy-India, Kaushik is guiding Welcare World's ambitious growth plans that include strategically located Clinics and Hospitals in the UAE and beyond.

A key element of this growth involves inculcating world class best practices in patient care and medical delivery; along with successfully attracting, training, developing and retaining top healthcare practitioners from around the region and the world by offering them a multicultural and nurturing work environment

Commenting on his appointment, Kaushik said, "Welcare is the leading healthcare brands in the UAE, in large part because of its high-calibre clinical and medical management expertise with focus on evidence based medicine, delivered with warmth and care. Kaushik is credited with leading the growth at SRL Ranbaxy in India, to become the largest laboratory medicine operation in South East Asia. He was also President at Jubilant Organysis, prior to which he served for 17 years with the multinational, ICI in India & Internationally.

Today Welcare World manages the 120-bed Welcare Hospital in Garhoud, the Welcare Ambulatory Care Center in Dubai Knowledge Village and the Emirates Diagnostic Clinic in Satwa. It is structured to manage all future expansions into hospitals & clinics, providing holistic healthcare delivery systems. Some of its immediate projects include the 120 bed city hospital & 150 bed Creek hospital at the Dubai Health Care City. The Ophthalmology clinic in Dubai and the Polyclinic cum diagnostic centre at Muscat, Oman.
