Mohammed Al Gergawi officially opens the Dubai Press Club at its new premises at DMC

Dubai Press Club was officially opened at its news premises at the Dubai Media City by Mohammed Al Gergawi, Executive Chairman of Dubai Holding.
Mona Al Marri, Chairperson, Dubai Press Club said: "The opening of the Dubai Press Club at its new premises is a new beginning towards strengthening the position of the club and expanding its presence at the regional and international level. This will be achieved by implementing a new strategy that aims to encourage greater interaction between the journalists and the decision makers and at the same time expanding the activities and events hosted by the Club."
Al Marri added, "The move will also facilitate communication with government officials and important international, regional, political and economic personalities visiting DMC. They will be invited to the Club to share their opinion and ideas with the members."
Mohammed Al Gergawi toured the Club and was briefed on its various facilities which includes conference hall, business lounge, library, recreation area and the café.
Later Al Gergawi met the journalists and discussed the role that the Club can play in developing media and its position as a media hub where the decision makers and the journalists can meet and hold frank dialogue on a host of issues.
The Dubai Press Club has officially opened its doors to members from Wednesday 12th October, 2005. The move to the Dubai Media City has been taken to achieve greater diversity and quality in the range of activities and events that the Club organizes, and foster interaction with regional and international media companies already based at the Dubai Media City.
