Dubbed the athlete's drink, Pulz has been brought to the UAE by Emirates Snack Food (ESF) for active and dynamic individuals. The drink is extremely popular in Saudi Arabia, where it is manufactured to stringent quality standards. Pulz comes in 3 refreshing flavors - orange, lemon and pineapple - and is available in leading supermarkets.

Unlike energy drinks, Pulz is a sports drink designed to maintain optimum physical activity. "A lot of people confuse energy drinks with sports drinks," explained Sandy Penny, Key Account Manager at ESF. "And this is dangerous because of the fundamental difference in function. Energy drinks can be used as a pick-me-up when you're feeling a little lethargic. But paradoxically, energy drinks don't provide energy (they only stimulate) and this is not the best thing for your body when it's already charged during exercise. The body needs to replace lost nutrients. PULZ Sports Drink on the other hand replenishes vital nutrients (fuel for the body). "

Pulz replenishes salts, fluids and nutrients lost through physical exercise or when performing sports. "Pulz really is an anytime, every time drink that can be used by everybody, including pregnant women and children," continued Sandy. "It doesn't matter if you're a sports person or not, anybody can drink it at anytime. But it's especially beneficial if you're involved in strenuous activity because of the amount of carbohydrates in it."

Also present at the launch was Roy Nasr, a well-known Dubai triathlete who uses Pulz during his workouts.
