Noel Massoud joins Emirates Palace after eight years as General Manager of the award winning InterContinental Abu Dhabi.

'I am honoured to be appointed as General Manager of Emirates Palace,' said Massoud. 'Since its opening earlier this year, this magnificent property has already been leading the way in creating a new awareness of Abu Dhabi as a destination. My goal is to ensure that Emirates Palace lives up to its potential of bringing a new dimension to the hospitality industry in UAE and the world.'

A Jordanian national, Massoud has over thirty years of hospitality industry experience, eighteen of which as General Manager with the InterContinental hotel group. In addition to his native Arabic language, he is fluent in English, German and French.

Emirates Palace opened in March 2005 operated by Kempinski, Europe's oldest luxury hotel group.

Built in the style of a majestic Arabian Castle rising from the desert sands, Emirates Palace is situated on a 1.3 km stretch of private beach and surrounded by hectares of manicured lawns.

The Emirates Palace Conference Centre houses the largest, most luxurious and technologically advanced meeting facilities in the UAE with the total meeting and conference space exceeding 7000 sqm including a magnificent auditorium for 1200 persons, the country's largest ballroom, a high tech Media Centre and over 40 additional meeting rooms. Emirates Palace comprises 390 luxury rooms and suites and a variety of fine dining options, with more dining and entertainment venues due to be added at a later stage. The resort's leisure facilities include two intricately landscaped swimming pools and two state of the art fitness centres. Two spas and a marina with private berths for yachts and super yachts will open in early 2006.
