Emirates makes premium travel a family affair
- United Arab Emirates: Monday, July 01 - 2002 at 12:25
- PRESS RELEASE
Special fares to make flying with a large family more affordable have gone on sale from Dubai's Emirates Airline.
The family promotion cuts 25 per cent off the prices of tickets for up to eight family members travelling with the head of the family, who pays full price.
A 25 per cent reduction is also available on an Economy ticket for a maid travelling with a family group of five or more.
Hamad Obaidallah, Emirates' General Manager GCC, Yemen and Iran, said today: "The annual holiday is a high point of the year, and a priority for families across the UAE.
"But the cost of buying tickets for Dad, Mum, three kids, sisters and brothers and a grandparent can cast a cloud over what should be a joyous celebration of family life.
"So we are taking action to help the many large families in the UAE to enjoy their vacation to the full -- without having continually to count the cost," Mr Obaidallah said.
Routes from Dubai on offer include, in UK to London, Birmingham and Manchester; in Europe, to Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, Rome, Milan and Zurich; in the Far East, to Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Bangkok and Hong Kong; and in Australia, to Sydney, Melbourne and Perth, Emirates' newest Australian destination, from 2nd August.
